Orbital Body is a seating element carved from a single block of stone, bearing the characteristic markings of the machine and the hand. Occupying the margins of sculpture and furniture, the piece asks the user to inhabit with both the eye and the body – to negotiate the manifold surface, discovering pattern and texture, drift and variation. Through use, the body of the piece and body of the user drift into an orbital dance of speed and continuity – fluctuating, flowing, infinite.
