Heroic Silence is a reading of Swiss design culture developed throughout a month of traveling across the country. A series of six paintings were executed in response to the travel. The works engage the Swiss tradition of landscape painting and examine the relationship between natural environment and inhabitation. Combining hi-tech fabrication with handcraft, these 2.5-D works are the bastard progeny of landscape, architecture, and painting.
